Bernd M. “Bernie” Ronnisch, President
Bernie founded Ronnisch Construction Group in 1994 in an effort to redefine the reputation of the building industry. Drawing upon his 25+ years in the construction industry, Bernie, along with his Leadership Team, has created the Ronnisch Way and the core values that elevate our company far above the competition. “At Ronnisch, we all have a passion for delivering the best product to our customer,” he says. “We have the process, people, and passion to be known as the best.” Bernie also sits on the board for the Boys & Girls Club of South Oakland County and is the 2007/2008 President of Birmingham Country Club. He holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Lawrence Technological University.

Jason Gekiere, Director of Operations
To oversee our exacting operations, Jason applies his 15 years of diverse construction experience. Having previously served as Senior Project Manager and Director of Field Operations, Jason assesses precisely what our clients need and then ensures that the Ronnisch Difference is evident, from estimate to final walk-through and beyond.

Mary C. Earls, Chief Financial Officer
From the very first day of business at Ronnisch, Mary has put her now 20 years of corporate accounting experience to good work. Mary oversees finance, accounting, human resources, administration, and information technology for our entire team, keeping productivity and efficiency at the high levels required by our commitment to clients. Mary holds a B.S. degree in language arts and accounting from Albion College.



Management Team

Eric D. Kesti, Estimator
With more than a decade of experience and a B.S. in Building Construction and Management from Michigan State University, Eric works with our clients during the pre-construction and estimating phases to create a framework that guides a project from inception to completion and ensures that all critical components are addressed. Eric is a member of USGBC Local Members (U.S. Green Building Council) and LEED® AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Accredited Professional)

Janet Gekiere, Business Development & Marketing Manager
From first contact to final agreement, Janet cultivates our opportunities to collaborate with long-time and new clients. She also oversees our marketing efforts, ensuring that communications are always flowing and imbued with the Ronnisch Way message. In addition to her 14+ years in the construction industry, Janet holds a B.S. degree in interior design and is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) in Detroit.

Kevin O’Hare, Superintendent
As Superintendent, Kevin oversees on-site activities and subcontractor coordination and scheduling for projects such as Pontiac Academy, Liberty Properties, and several Aldi locations. He is responsible for reviewing and maintaining construction drawing and documents, monitoring and assuring quality control, and maintaining a clean safe working environment. With 22+ years experience and a variety of specialized training, Kevin tracks, records, and schedules activities with the ultimate goal of exceeding client expectations.

Mark Dishinger, Senior Project Manager - Manager of Field Operations
From managing and overseeing field superintendents to meeting with clients for weekly progress updates, Mark ensures that projects are running according to plan, schedule, and budget. With 20+ years of experience in the construction industry, Mark provides a seasoned perspective on the variety of projects that we build. He holds a B.S. degree in construction engineering from Lawrence Technological University.

Mary Lyn Phillips, Project Accountant
As a Project Accountant with 15+ years in the industry, Mary Lyn is responsible for generating accurate and timely project billings. In addition to managing the Notice of Commencement, project insurance and bond request processes, she sets up new projects and assists with cash flow management. Originally brought to our team to assist the finance department, she has developed into a leader and integral part of our finance and risk management department.

Matthew S. Hicks, Project Manager
As a Project Manager, Matthew supervises project coordinators and ensures that projects are on track from pre-construction through post-construction. In addition to his 11+ years experience in the industry, Matthew is a member of the local chapter of the U.S Green Building Council and has experience with LEED projects. He holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Lawrence Technological University.

Ray Lee Melvin, Senior Superintendent
As Senior Superintendent, Ray supervises our in house labor forces and oversees all on-site activities and subcontractor coordination and scheduling. He is responsible for reviewing and maintaining construction drawing and documents, monitoring and assuring quality control, and maintaining a clean safe working environment. of projects, including those of clients Michigan First Credit Union, Holiday market, Lofts on the Nine, and others. Ray’s 35+ years of experience and his B.S. in Construction Engineering provide invaluable expertise in for consulting on, and meeting project challenges, while maintaining efficiency.
